In the beauty world, prevention is better than cure. Which is why, regardless of treatment, we recommend applying SPF20+ daily, hydrating well, washing your makeup brushes and changing your pillowcase regularly. All habits which require diligence, but we promise you’ll thank us in years to come.
Collagen Induction Therapy
Pre-treatment

Sculptural Face Lift
Pre-treatment
Sever skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, dermatitis, and hypersensitive skin must be treated and on top of before the commencement of treatments. The skin may require preparation with the correct products as directed by your paramedical skin therapist - Book your Pre-Treatment Consultation

Contagious skin conditions like Herpes cannot be in an active phase at the time of treatment
Males; please shave the area 24 hours prior to your treatment (no earlier)
Other Contraindications include Blood diseases, Acute Thrombosis, Tuberculosis, Aids, Cancer, First trimester of pregnancy, Thyroid gland and excessive hair.
What to avoid for a week prior to your Sculptural Face Lift treatment:
- Excessive exposure to the elements (sun / wind)
- Chemical peels - 2 weeks prior
- Collagen induction therapy 2 weeks prior
- Anti-wrinkle cosmetic injections - 4 weeks prior
- Dermal filler - 4 weeks prior
- Thread lift procedure - 8 months prior
- Facial cosmetic procedures - 8 weeks prior
(If you have had large amounts of Botox, we advise you to wait until the effects of the Botox have diminished. Sculpting will break down the botulinum toxin causing it to dissolve faster than usual.)
Post-treatment
- For best results, follow your home care routine as prescribed by your paramedical skin therapist (the use of non-prescribed products may adversely affect your treatment’s outcome)
- If needed to reduce swelling and discomfort, apply a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a cloth to the treated areas for short intervals.
- Refrain from touching or applying pressure to the treated areas immediately after the treatment to minimise the risk of aggravating any swelling, tenderness or redness
- Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and reduce post-massage symptoms.

- Surface grazes can occur for 2 - 4 days. If so, please let your skin therapist know to ensure timing is adjusted on the next visit
- Beta Gel, Contraderm, Relief Cream and Actrol Powder are effective for post-treatment relief

- Excessive sun exposure

Electrolysis

- Ensure your hair is long enough (0.5 - 1 cm long)
What to avoid for a week prior to your Electrolysis treatment:
- Excessive exposure to the elements (sun / wind)
- Skincare products containing vitamin A/retinol, AHAs or BHAs
Post-treatment
- Some re-growth is to be expected (if you re-book when this first occurs, the roots will be shorter and weaker and can be treated more effectively)
- For any discomfort, add 1 tsp of Epsom salt to 1/2 cup warm water, mix and soak up with a face cloth, lay face cloth over the treated area for 10 minutes and repeat until discomfort subsides
- Ice-packing the area can also be helpful to reduce any inflammation
What to avoid for a week following your Electrolysis treatment:
- Excessive sun exposure
- Makeup - 48 hours post (mineral makeup can be used 24 hours post)
- Excessive heat; hot showers, swimming, spas and saunas - 48 hours post
- Exfoliation, abrasive face cloths, highly fragranced products
- High-intensity workouts - 48 hours post
- Skincare products containing vitamin A/retinol, AHAs or BHAs
- Spray tan and self tan products
- Skin treatments or products, unless prescribed by your skin therapist
- Waxing, threading or tweezing the treatment area (this will only undo the work we have accomplished with electrolysis - if you must remove hair in the week after treatment, trim hair with scissors, bleach, shave or alternate with alkaline as advised by your skin therapist)
- Scratching or over-touching the treated skin
Yumi Lash Lift
Pre-treatment
- We recommend washing your hair before your treatment and not wearing eye makeup or contact lenses to your appointment
- Ensure there is no eye infection or irritation, treatment cannot be performed until this has cleared
What to avoid for a week prior to your Yumi Lash treatment:
- Eyelash extensions
- Waterproof mascara and lash curlers
- Lash growth serums - 24 hours prior
Post-treatment
What to avoid for a week following your Yumi Lash treatment:
- Wetting or rubbing eyes - 48 hours post
- Eye creams, cleansers and skincare close to the eye area - 24 hours post
- Saunas, swimming and steam or high-intensity workouts that could cause excessive sweating - 48 hours post
- Face washing (only body showers advised - use muslin cloth/ gentle flannel with a minimal amount of cleanser to clean face, being very careful not to wet lashes) – 48 hours post
- Mascara, eyeliner, lash growth serums - 48 hours post
Everyday Maintenance
- Use a keratin mascara daily for the best results
- Avoid waterproof mascara as it can be damaging to the natural lashes
- Avoid eyelash extensions
- Sleep on your back when possible or use a silk pillowcase or eye mask
Waxing
Pre-treatment
- Ensure your hair is long enough (1 cm long)
- Exfoliate the night before with an exfoliating glove and/or a physical scrub
- Treatment cannot be performed on irritated, inflamed, cut or sunburned skin
What to avoid for a week prior to your Waxing treatment:
- Excessive exposure to the elements (sun / wind)
- Skincare products containing vitamin A/retinol, AHAs or BHAs
- Anti-wrinkle cosmetic injections - 2 weeks prior
